Vapor barrier on outside of foundation

I wanted to get some advice/opinions about a french drain install I'm doing. I'm placing a french drain next to my foundation where water seems to come in when it rains due to the street slanting towards my house. I want to place vapor barrier along the foundation and the floor of the drain trench to capture as much water as possible. Whats a good product to use? I will also be wrapping the gravel in lanscapers fabric to help maintain the effectiveness of the drain over time.

TIA for any advice.

Water proof the foundation with foundation sealer.
6 Mil. plastic will work for the rest of it.

Thanks, that's what I thought it would take. I just wanted to confirm before I began because this is my first time doing this.
