Using Both Block & Brick In Chimney
 

Hello Folks:

We have a mason extending our concrete block chimney a few feet higher to get it to the correct code height. He is using a mixture of both block and brick in these top few feet. The whole chimney will then be refaced in stone, so these blocks and bricks will not be seen.

Is it OK to use both together like this?
