Should I patch chips wall?

I notice that there are several chips on my basement wall (see attached picture on one of the chipped wall). Their sizes are about 2" x 2" x 1".

Since I will cover then with insulation, do you think I should patch them, or am I wasting time and money in doing so? I am thinking to use Quckrete.

Thanks!

Should I patch chips wall?

The new wall and insulation should be built so it does not make contact with the foundation.
There has to be over 2000 post on this one subject. Look in the search area at the top right.
Want to seal over it use hydrolic cement.
