Removing Mastic & Adhesive from Slab

I'm looking for an experienced opinion on reconditioning my basement concrete slab. It has a layer of black mastic that originally held tiles and another layer of carpet adhesive. Can this be professionally ground down without contaminating the house? The companies that are interested in the job say "Yes", but I'm a little concerned about it. I'm looking at finishing the slab with an epoxy coating or elite-crete. Any opinions suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

certainly,,, small cimex-type concrete grinder & 60grit segments,,, we'd grind wet & use a wet/dry vac as its very possible there's asbestos in the cutback adhesive

eliteCrete's imo

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly my concern. So when evaluating a company to do this work, should I insist on them griding it wet? Does the type of concrete grinder they use matter?

I think they all use some kind of and some had actually mentioned having the vac stationed outside the house. Thanks again.
