To pour concrete ove asphalt or not to pour concrete over asphalt.

blacktop's spec'd as ' acc ' ( asphalt cement concrete [ flexible pavement ] ) & what WE know as conc is spec'd ' pcc ' ( portland cement concrete [ rigid pavement ] ),,, since its the interior floor of your shop, i wouldn't worry about sub-base,,, remember helping my father place conc floor in our monument shop ( on dirt ) over 60yrs ago,,, its still serviceable, no random crk's, & paste cover's still good despite yrs of alum oxide abrasion,,, no mesh/rebar ( fiber hadn't been invented yet ), good jnt pattern, 5" conc floor w/turned-down edge & 3' deep footers in upstate ny.

adding your location would've been a great help & might have lowered speculation
.

if you hear it from a guy in the apron store, be VERY suspicious the mtl/method will work,,, when it time to build something together, they won't answer phones NOR help
