Paver Patio, repair stucco or not?
I'm in the process of removing my concrete porch slap and while prying it away from the house the stucco behind it came with it. The foundation thankfully is unharmed. After it is removed I will be installing a paver patio with the paver stones covering at least 2 inches above where the stucco is missing. Do I need to repair the stucco or just let the sub-base and sand layer sit against the foundation?
On another question, is there a minimum distance the paver stones need to be below the threshold of my sliding glass door?
I live in the Los Angeles area, so obviously I don't need to worry about freezing temps.
Got a picture?
It needs to be a bare min. of 4" the more the better up to about 7" which is a normal step heigth.
Any less and water will get in under the threshold.
Welcome to the Forum!
so any rain fall will run off the paver and down the exterior wall to where the stucco has been broken off????? what do you think?
untreated wood and water do not mix well
