patio question
Hello, my name is Mike.
My question is : If I already have an old cement patio, ( 10' x 14') should I gut it and lay new cement or go with a bricklayer design? ( probably more expensive) |
What exactly are you referring to when you say "bricklayer design"?
Are you referring to pavers? If so, go with concrete. No point in wasting money on brick pavers. If you want something decorative, then go with stamped concrete which is still less expensive then pavers by at least 2 dollars per foot. I am a brick mason by trade. Still would never use pavers over concrete. |
Yeah, definitely stamped and colored concrete. You can make it look like whatever you want, I've even seen a dude that made it look like cork. A stone look is more common, though.

I guess I should clarify. When I say "you" can make it look like whatever you want, I mean "a licensed and experienced concrete contractor." Stamping concrete isn't for the first timer.
