Hi. I have 2 issues.
First is I have a outdoor shed that was previously painted. I do not know with what. I power washed and scraped old paint off of wood. Parts of wood were bare, some had paint left and I also changed some trim w/brand new wood. I bought duration acryl/latex by sherwin williams. I was told to spot prime bare or partially painted wood. I unfortunately applied interior oil based kilz primer (was given to me at store and did not realize until after). Some say to remove by chemicals or sanding. Some say apply exterior oil based primer as topcoat then duration paint. Do I leave it and just wait till it peels off or do one of the above?
Second issue. I have old concrete outside steps that had been previously painted. I live in NY and after mx attempts w/Mauriac acid and repainting finally hired out. they resurfaced concrete with ?another type of concrete, spray painted and applied quickcrete cure and sealer. They originally told me they were applying colored concrete. The sealer is turning white, they were not to use this over painted concrete. Do I remove w/acetone and apply clearseal or just leave it until it wears off. We get snow, have to apply salt etc. Do not want to mess up paint job. Any advice?
