New construction-Vapor barrier

New construction/cabin in MI
5' block crawlspace
I plan to put 6mil plastic against the outside of the block before backfill. I will then put an R5 insulation on inside of foundation wall. I have 6mil on the floor covered with stone. I may pour a floor someday, but not necessary now.

Is this a good moisture proof method?
I will be providing a fan/ventilation to the crawl space also.

Ayuh,.... You'd probably be better off with a tar sealant, 'n the waffle plastic liner on the outside,...

6mil. would be way to thin and get destroyed when back filling.
Now's the time to also add the needed drain tiles (French drain) before the crawl space fills with water and have to do it later.

Is there some reason you didn't add 2 more courses of block so a person could walk around under the cabin?

I went 5' because elevations called for it. I was going to go 4' but gave myself some more room.
I have interior drain tile and a sump pit. We are on sand/gravel and I'm not worried about water much...just typical moisture.
