new cmu wall attached to existing brick party wall?
Folks- i need to attach a new cmu wall (w/exterior insulation and stuuco finish) to an existing brick party-wall, at the property line.
i.e. i only have 1 brick width to attach to due to the property line. Given the 2" eps insulation and ext. finish, I'm left w little to attach. I propose running the new cmu INSIDE, and ATTACH to, the brick wall. There are 2 issues here; 1- structural 2- tight insulation barrier. But if they OVERLAP for a foot? Question? how would you attach them together? Reminder; a very tight seal is required here. thx |
