Emecole explained to me that the method you're describing is meant for 2 part products (like you use), but not necessary for 1 part products like theirs. Thus, the product can be injected directly onto/into the crack. Once it touches moisture, it'll expand up to 30 times its size, reaching all crevices and to the outside of the crack. This expansion is why they also instruct to "butter" the crack. This forces the expansion to move outward.
Seem reasonable?

lol Well, I appreciate you taking the time to help me out. This whole trench thing workin' out as a drainage method really makes me a lot more comfortable with trying to seal this crack myself. As I said earlier, even if its not 100% successful, I don't think ill be getting water on my floor again anyway...

if its not 100% successful, you probably will,,, grouting is as much art as science,,, just remember wtr runs downhill & your bsmt's as a ship's hull below the wtrline

hopefully we'll never talk about this again - good luck ! ! !

Sorry...probably will what? I wasn't saying water wouldn't come in anymore. Just meant the water won't be on the TOP of the floor, wrecking my laminate again.
Again, thanks a lot for the help.
