Nail holes in cinder block chimney

Took the siding off my chimney today to try to stop the bats from roosting.

Pulled some masonry nails out at the same time, left a bunch of holes. Unfortunately, some of them are about 35' above the ground :|

Do I need to get some mortar or something to fill them in (wasn't sure if water would get into them, then freeze/thaw, etc) or? If so, what should I use?

Thanks

repair mortar in a mortar bag will make quick work of that.
