Install gas in a house

I want to install to gas lines into a house that has a concrete slab foundation. Can it be installed above the concrete slab?

#1 No DIY should be running there own gas lines!

ours enters above the slab,,, matter of fact, the meter/reducing valve's about 5' above the slab,,, w/the right mtls, plumbing for gas is just like water 'cept, if you have a leak, water don't burn up your house be safe & call a pro - then, if something goes ape****, you gots someone to sue
