We just finalized the house today. Bought a nice fixer upper.
My question is what should we do with the outside exterior of the home?
The bottom is brick veneer and the top is vertical wood siding.
I don't mind the brick, but the wood has to go. What would you suggest we replace it with? I was thinking stucco. A nice grey and dark brown.
Easiest, most cost effective solution to really give this townhome a new look: White vinyl siding. This way you add curb appeal by modernizing the second story exterior without digging deep in your pockets. Im not saying i dont like stucco but you might not want to make your home the only one on the block with stucco. Also, white vinyl will match the trim over the garage, front door etc. Dont forget its always best to have a reasonable transition from yours to your neighbors house.
