how much would it cost to have a foundation built foe a 1700 square home. A concrete block foundation.

A lot more than you want to pay.

Your not going to get price estimates here. You have to pick up the phone and make some phone calls.....

I'm using the iPhone app, so I can't copy the link for the policy on asking for pricing info.

More than $1.98

The question about the wall materials is of no consequence if you have to follow any code. Both block and concrete can be used for any foundation. 6" block can be used for bearing walls on 12 story high rises, because it is just as strong but faster and cheaper.

Depending on the local labor costs, foundation layout (corners, jags, bays, etc.), you can only have a good floor plan and ask a local concrete and masonry contractor. Poured concrete is cheap for squares and boxes, while concrete block can be faster and cheaper for more challenging foundations.

I think this is low. 15+ Its hard to say. There are variables which factor in. Get some bids.. Make sure you get a bid from a polish mason.
