flag stone waste

My flagstone patio was totally a mess. I have to remove all the flagstones and replace them with paver stones.

I am also planning to pave my backyard. I need gravel for the base. Now I have a pile of flagstones in my backyard I need to get rid of, I am wondering if I can break the flagstones to gravels. What is the easiest to way to do that?

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks,
inyb
