Finish on Brick

I am applying thin brick on an addition to a home and tried to match the colors of the original house as best possible. The builder used several colors of brick. On the red bricks I noticed when the red thin bricks are wet they look nearly identical to the old house brick. Is there any type of finish I can apply to the brick to keep it looking as though it's wet so it keeps the darker color? Thanks.
