finding an old chimney cap

The chimney cap in the picture is rusted out. Does anyone know where I could get replacement or something? Also, the roof is very steep and I'm wondering if there is a kind of scaffold that could be used instead of someone having to build a platform and put more nails in the roof. The chimney needs to be rebuilt, but someone has suggested I put a type of silicone coating over the bricks to waterproof it and stop the capillary action of water in the meantime. The coating would have to be maintained. Does anyone have any experience with this type of coating in Florida? Thanx.

Just key word search on Google hundreds of sites come up on "chimmney caps".
It would be far better to have the chimmney fixed instead of applying a band aid.
All that flashing also looks funky in that picture and may also need to be worked on.
With a roof that steep I'd never suggest a DIY get up on it.
