Crack in Concrete
I want to lay pavers my concrete patio but I have a couple good size cracks in the concrete. One side has dropped about an inch. Would the concrete leveling compound be the best way to go or should I get it mudjacked?
|
Is there a drainage problem? 1" sounds like a decent chunk for 1/2 your patio to drop - I would try to figure out why it dropped first or you may be re-doing your paver job sooner rather than later.

The cracks will come though your new tile unless you figure out why the pad cracked and moved.

ladybird -
Are you considering thin tiles/pavers that are adhered to the concrete or the more common conventional pavers for a patio that can be placed without mortar on a 1" sand setting bed. Dick |
As Dick is eluding to, kind of I guess, is that you will likely want to use a 1" sand bedding under most of it,and simply increase the sand to 2" in the low area(s)....
