cost of digging and pouring a basement foundation

I'm going to build a 1200 sf ranch in a suburb of Chicago. Some sort of range of cost would be helpful. Any thoughts?

No one here's going to be able to help you with that. You need to be dealing with some local people.

I will do it for my mobilization fee plus 1.75 per mile and all fuel cost and demobilization fee plus 1.75 a mile. and my hourly rate of 75 dollars per hour. so my mobilization fee is 1,500 from the coast to Chicago 1700 miles x 2 you got to pay for me to get back that would be 5950 plus fuel and my rate I would say around 89,000. Just giving a absurd answer you your question. Best thing to do is get the yellow pages and find a local excavator and have them bid it out. Asking here is for that is not the right way of going about it. Best of luck to you.

"How much will it cost?" Asking for price estimates here.
