Concrete topcoat over old?
I have a garage that was built in 1962. The right side of the garage has settled severely and there is approximately a 1 1/2" crack where it has settled. The concrete is old and basically turns to sand when you sweep it. My question is can I pour concrete over this existing slab in order to keep it useable for a little while longer while I save up to be able to rebuild the garage? I was thinking about pouring it about 1" - 1 1/2" over the top of the existing.
I build engines on the side, so having the inside of the garage clean is a must. This is really the only reason I would be doing this. Otherwise, I would just leave it as is and it wouldn't matter much to me. thanks
