Cleaning brick

Hi to all.

I bought an old brick house that has white aluminum fascia paint bleeding down onto the red brick in a bunch of spots. I have not tried to clean it yet, but just wondering what I should use to clean it up?

Thanks

Try a power washer with a turbo tip.

And think about having that old trim changed to PVC trim coil. It will not chaulk like that old stuff does.

Thanks Guys

I was planning on changing the fascia with new. I figured it was just a poor quality paint on some of the coil stock used. You can see the difference where the bad stuff was used and where the better quality stuff was used (no bleeding).

I was worried about using a power washer removing the mortar. It looks like it was re- pointed at one time and I can see it's falling out in spots.

I'm guessing it's going to be tough removing by hand with some type of cleaner?

I use "Sure Kleen" your best bet would be going to a local brick supplier and asking them.
