channel in slab

I had to cut a 3" deep channel in the slab to route power to the new kitchen island. After putting the conduit in- I refilled channel with concrete- Since the concrete does not really give me a nice "level" surface back to the top of the existing slab- What can I put there to make it smoother? Just some type of leveler?

Since concrete is not self leveling,it's up to you to make it level and smooth when you replaced it.
