Thanks! I've read everything from the stone & mortar manufacturers and nowhere did I read about allowing time between setting the stone and grouting but in the back of my mind something seemed wrong with doing one right after the other. We'll wait.
We generally grout another day, as the joints will set faster this way. On certain work, like narrow chimneys that require scaffold though, it's not uncommon for us to apply stone and grout the same day. This way we can work our way down the scaffold and not have to go back up again.......
