Can you clean cement off the face of a block wall?

I did some block work yesterday with regular mortar mix and regular tan building blocks. After smoothing in the gaps with the mortar mix, I left some grey residue on the blocks that I's like to clean up. So I'm wondering if it is possible to wipe the face of the blocks clean with something to get the cement off. Any ideas?

If it's less than a day old, I would just get a scrub brush, bucket of water & some laundry detergent and use a little elbow grease.

If that doesn't work, try a little white vinegar & water.

Muratic is the last thing I would use on day old block, especially if the block are custom colored..........

Be very careful with Muriatic acid, you must neutralise it when you're done.

"Sure Klean 600" is the industry standard, here is a link to there products http://www.prosoco.com/

Thanks, I will check it out when I get home and maybe take a scrub pad to it. It's actually the neighbors wall that I repaired for free where it ties into my new wall. I don't really care about the look but I don't like to leave shoddy work either. If it looks like crap a month from now then I will look into the Sure Klean 600 or muriatic acid.
