Question

Butting Lap siding to Rock/Stone/Concrete

Can anyone tell me how to butt Hardie lap siding (after attaching trim board)to rock/stone/concrete? Some say to caulk and others say never to caulk. Which method is best? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
