Building paver landing and steps
Hello all,
I would like to build a 4' x 8' paver landing coming off the back french doors of my house. This landing will have a single 12" step on 3 sides, that will step down to a paver patio on 3 sides. It is currently a 14" drop from the bottom of the door to the dirt, and the landing and step will span that distance. My questions are: What is the best way to do this? What kind of fill would I use? Do I use concrete or do I fill it and back it with base? What about the sides/risers - what do I use. How about the steps and the edges? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in the planning stages and am not dedicated to any particular material. Thanks, Kyle |
