I have a building in my back yard that is level with the ground. Water builds around the bottom and it leaks inside. I thought about ripping inside walls out and place a 2x4 on studs at base, on inside wall and filling with quick dry cement between studs. Would this work to stop the leak or would it do more damage?
building a moat around a below-grade bldg rarely adds to the dryness of anything,,, either raise the bldg ( bodacious BIG crowbar ) or improve the drainage,,, this may req you to install a rock-fill'd & soil cloth lined swale, a sump, pump, or gravity drainage to a low point.
need to also consider the dumping out point - its often illegal to create a hazard on the giftee of your discharg'd wtr
