Attatching 2 marble thresholds

Has anyone attached 2 marble thresholds/saddles together with maybe epoxy? I need a 5 foot piece for the shower curb and tile place wants 195.00 for the piece . HD has a similar style but the biggest is 30" for 20.00 a piece. I want to know if this has or can be done.

Big mistake to even try to do it that way.
Find some place local that makes solid surface counter tops and have them make one up for you.

could you affix them with tile glue(I meant the cement stuff), and fill the joint with silicone or grout filler? Should fulfill its function.

could probably even fill the gap with marmorino (polishable, marble -powder based spackle), provided the marble slabs are affixed to something immobile

IF it were mine, i'd put in 3 shorter pieces rather than 1 long piece - always hate to see a crack in the middle of long pieces i'm sure dome diy'er has tried the epoxy route but been dissatisfied when it broke
