Appropriate base for 2-x-2 ft pavers

I recently acquired some large pavers from a contractor friend -- They're 24-x-24 in, rebar reinforced, ~6" thick, and weigh about 165 lbs each.

I was wondering what an appropriate base would be for such large and heavy pavers. I've installed patios before but never with concrete slabs like this -- Is it necessary to adjust the depth of crushed limestone and sand? Is there anything else to take into account?

The soil is relatively compact clay loam in an old, urban neighborhood.

Thanks!
