6" Hole in Concrete Block / Brick

Not going to be perfect but will a Hilti TEC6 using drill bit to score the circle and then a grinder to finish the circle be a okay tool method to make a 6" hole in cement block/brick ?

Just adding a bathroom vent fan

Why 6"? Bathroom fans are 3 or 4" not 6".
A diamond core drill would be the best way, second would be a series of 1/2 holes with a hammer drill and clean it up with chisle not a grinder.
Make sure you drill from the outside in.
If not you will blow out the brick.

joecaption.
Silly question, "drill from the outside in.
If not you will blow out the brick", please explain this so i understand the logic.
Thanks in advance.

If you drilled from the inside as the drill starts to break through the brick it blows out the face of the brick. Drill from the outside and you will see nice round holes in the face of the brick but the block will most likly get blown out, better to have the block mess up then the brick.

starting point

If you are going through block, as in hollow core cinder block, examine a spare block first. Looking down from above you will see two cavities. If you can, try to center your hole in one half of the block or the other to drill through those cavities....
