Windows leaking air

kirwinjd Member   Join Date: Dec 2012 Posts: 53	Windows leaking air Are windows supposed to leak some air? I feel a draft by every sliding window in my 13 year old house. What's the best way to test a window excess leakage? Thank you for any help

If they leak water....they are leaking air....time for windows..... Ok thank you for your response. Frustrating thing is that house is only 13 years old and has always had this problem. Any ideas how the installing contractor screwed up or are they just cheap windows?

If your getting water between the panes of glass....then it sounds like you have some really cheap windows. __________________ Common Sense is like Deodorant. We have aluminum windows. They all have holes or slots on the outside for rainwater to drain. Perhaps yours are either plugged with dirt or debris, or mistakenly caulked.
