Is a window really this strong?

I just saw an ad on television for a local window installer. The guy put a double hung window on two blocks and then stood on the glass.

Is that really possible with a normal window? He didn't give any reason that his was better than anyone else's and I don't find an explanation on his website, so I presume it must work with all windows.

Tempered glass? Yes.

That is why the windows next to the driveway at my house are tempered....least a basketball make unwanted entry.

Even if you are on the right track, you will still get run over if you just sit there.

As long as you are standing on strategically chosen areas, you can do that with pretty much any window. I've even seen it done on the $189 variety.
