window pvc trim

when installing a new construction window can you simply install PVC trim directly over the nailing flange?

Why not buy new construction window with built in J moulding so there's no air or water leaks.
What do you consider as "PVC Trim". J moulding, vinyl lumber, ECT.? To answer your question, no, you need to apply self sticking window tape first.

Ok yes I know about flashing. My question is regarding AZEC pvc trim. Do you fasten it over the flange?

Yes. Just be sure that your nails don't hit the screws that you installed in the flange.
