Window install help

I purchased a block style vinyl picture window without a nailing flange for a new construction wall. I originally intended on getting brick laid on this wall but now and going to install siding surround the window. My question is how do I properly install a window without a nailing flange so that it's water tight? It's smooth around all the sides with no pre drilled holes. I don't know how to weatherproof the exterior prior to laying the J channel and vinly siding.

Thank you in advance!

Window install help

Keep the wood sheathing 1/4" to the sides and top of the window.
Install tyvec/tar paper integrated with adhesive perimeter membrane flashing. There's a specific layering involved in this process. You need to follow it.
In your case the membrane will run up the sides of the window to compensate for the lack of a nailing flange.
Apply a drip edge over the window and under the membrane flashing.
You can check out the process on You Tube from one of the window manufacturers like Andersen, Marvin, etc...

Window install help

Just hate to see you have to do it that way.
I've had to back way to may times and replace walls where someone tried to use a replacement window instead of a new constrution window.
If it was mine I'd be using 1 X vinyl lumber to trim it out not J molding around the window, main reason it's less flexable where it's most likely to leak. Use the J on the outside of the vinyl lumber.
Z molding over the top.
Window needs to be installed so it will sit out beyond the PVC lumber.
If not water will get in under the trim.
