Will the noise reduce if installiing drywall on a glassless window?

What I am trying to do is reduce noise people conversations outside my window. So what I would do is take the glass out from the window and put drywall, called quietrock, and glue it with green glue and screw it also.

Will that reduce at least some noise from outside?

Why remove the glass? Just use double faced tape and stuck it to the glass.

A much better solution might be to make sound deadening shutters.

Motels use very thick curtains to deaden outside noises.

I'm just tossing out ideas---Mike---

This would be an excellent solution to reduce noise in a trailer park.:whistling2:... Just make sure that you use some duct tape in there somehow.
