What type of windows to buy for a prow front home?

I'm trying to figure out what type of windows to buy. I know I will have to buy them custom made. I need something that will be good for cold winters. The windows will be facing the West.

I've been debating on whether to get tinted windows to help keep the interior from fading and so it isn't as blinding from the sun. Anyone have any advice on tinted windows?

Are there any good sites to order custom windows from that will ship and are reasonable on prices?

Any local galzer as suggested Or any local lumber company would be the the best places to deal with. There going to be able to help you with selection, sizing, and any warrenty work if ever needed.
Be a lot cheaper to try and frame the opening to standard sizes when ever possible.

Is this just for a fixed window and do you want it to be frame-less?

Every window manufacturer that I know of make windows in "custom" sizes.

Where are you getting the sliding doors from? Odds are you can get the windows from the same place. Probably even the same manufacturer... Just tell them that you want a transom to go over your doors.
