And then what? Those windows are ether defective or somehow they got super heated to have that to have happened.
Do you have one of those plastic domes over that window well?

Defective.

Seal failures are common with builders grade or cheaper replacements.

You cannot get to those and they will require glass or sash replacement.

Are you the original purchaser of the windows? Can you locate the manufacturers information?

These windows are all on our 1st floor. It's happened to windows on the front, back, and side. The window on the side doesn't get much sunlight. The front and back gets direct sun. We live in Illinois.

That's what I was afraid of. The house is about 14 years old. We're the 3rd owners I believe. I assume these are builders grade. Other houses in the neighborhood have them as well. Seems like I'll have to get them replaced. Thanks for your help!

+1, no fixing that. You could replace the glass only, but for 14 yr old builder grade windows I would not spend a penny on them. Best to replace.

Time for new windows like HomeSealed said.

Sorry.

Where in IL are you located? Chicagoland area has some great window options.

HomeSealed isn't too far from you at that point but you are correct.

You are going to need new windows.
