Weatherstripping entry door to garage
I have a Solid wood plan entry door that leads to my garage. The door seems to have no threshold and there is no "kerf" cut in the jamb for weatherstripping. I noticed I could see light on the bottom side so I removed and replaced with the adhesive "Frost King" stuff. The door became difficult to close and I noticed on the bottom "non-hinge" side I could see light. I replaced it will the non-silicone type and it worked better but I could still see a crack of light on the non-hinge side. Upon closer examination I see the door doesn’t close even. I guess from regular use. What type of weatherstripping is best to use. I see they sell the Screw in type of weather stripping. I also notice when I place the weatherstripping on the top side it tends to lump up on the hinge side. Also the door had a rubber screw in type of sweep. I noticed the sweep makes it difficult to close the door. Should I use the sweep that attaches to the door bottom??? Someone nailed a gold transition strip to the bottom of the door “threshold”.

Weatherstripping entry door to garage
Foam weather stripping has enough give to absorb bad irregular seals without making the door hard to close. It doesn't last forever, but it's cheap enough. And a broom sweep screwed to the face of the door has an adjustment at every screw (5 or 6) to seal irregular gaps under the door. Is it an exterior door? I wonder why no threshold. That's usually part of the jamb.
