Vinyl Interior Trim Installation

RalphPeters Member   Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: BC,Canada Posts: 61	Vinyl Interior Trim Installation I removed the trim to do some work on the drywall around the window. The trim was held in place with an adhesive strip and caulking. There is a 1/4" gap around the window 2" deep. Should I put some type of insulation in there and find some new adhesive tape? joecaption Member   Join Date: Nov 2011 Location: Hartfield VA Posts: 18,313	Vinyl Interior Trim Installation From that picture I'm not seeing a wide enough gap to get an expanding foam tube in the gap. It should have been done before the tile went up. A 4-1/2" angle grinder with a diamond blade could be used to open up the gap in a few places so it will slip in.
