Timed opening of window curtains?
Hi all,
I'm wondering what it would take to set up a "sunlight wake-up alarm", but instead of having it be a 100$ lamp from Amazon (or wherever), use the actual sun. I have blackout curtains, so my idea is this: - Outlet timer (you know the kind people use when they go on vacation) - Small motor When the timer reaches the specified time, it activates, allowing power to flow to the motor. The motor pulls a cord which is attached to the curtains (think theatre style) The only problem is getting the motor to turn off once the curtains are pulled back, and beyond that I'm not really sure where to start since I've not done something like this before. Thanks ahead of time for any feedback. |

probably doable, but the position of the sun changes during the year and there will be days of no sun.
what is your location? |

Have you searched the web on this? I have to think that there is probably a product already in existence... If not, you had better remove this post and take your idea to Shark Tank!
