thinking about retrofitting vinyl patio door. broken glass.

Existing aluminum sliding door- was easy to replace broken glass.

Is it just as easy to replace broken glass in vinyl doors?

Your post is a little cryptic . If I was as smart as W on W maybe I could understand .

The old 1.1 (?) R-value aluminum doors usually have a rubber gasket & screwed corners . The vinyl doors are usually on a foam tape or silicone adhesive with snap off glaze bead . Is that what you're asking ?

Take the door panel out and bring to a glass shop.

damn, I forgot there's special glass. That must cost an arm and leg to replace the glass.

My rental property aluminum sliding door won't close properly anymore, and it gets a draft all the time.
If my tenants ever break the glass on the new door, oh boy.
