Sunrise or Seaway Windows

We are planning to have windows installed in the new house, and have found a contractor that we trust who is using both Seaway and Sunrise windows. Has anyone had experience with either, good or bad? I don't have quotes yet, just had the measurements finished this morning, but wondered if anyone has thoughts on either before getting involved in conversations about them at the showroom.

Also, I don't know much about the options listed HERE and wonder what I should realistically need here in Michigan, thoughts on that would help a lot also...

Thanks!
Joe

Depends on what models you are comparing from each manufacturer.

If you are comparing the equivalent line (good - better - best) of each manufacturer, the Sunrise comes out on top.

Ok, so they are actually Polar Seal windows now, they have the other 2 listed on the website because Polar Seal markets direct in Grand Rapids. (PS is located in GR)

So, they are Polar Seal low-e, argon filled units.

In place of which option?... Either way, I would choose the Sunrise. It is in the upper echelon of vinyl windows.... Install can be more critical due to the thin frame/sash/sill, but it is well designed, attractive, and has very good performance numbers.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm talking to them today on comparing the Sunrise and Polar Seal windows... The Seaway windows are way below grade of Sunrise it appears after looking at them last night.
