Shower window caulking???

Window in a shower, now that's just a very bad idea.
Use something like Alex 230 if you plan to be able to paint it to match the trim.

Shower window caulking???

I would agree with the window being a very bad idea. But I think I would check the painting section of this website instead of the plumbing they might give you a better idea as to what you will need / what will last.

Shower window caulking???

A siliconized acrylic caulk will be paintable and not as difficult to remove and replace when the time comes for that to happen. Unfortunately, there is no permanent solution other than getting rid of the window or rebuilding it completely with a vinyl window and proper waterproofing. Sooner or later, the caulk will fail and water damage will occur. It's not if. It's when.

Shower window caulking???

in my experience the alex brand silicone is garbage,we use higher end silicone thats sold at the lumber yard, not the stuff sold at big box stores.

also if you can manage it i would use pvc trim for the window also and install a blueskin drip pan on both the inside edge and outside edge of the opening to protect the wood sil from water damage in the event of a leak
