Replacing windows - redo the sill or leave it alone?

What are options for an exterior sill of a window (brick siding)? Our windows are traditional: a slant row of siding bricks at the moment. But in the kitchen I'm going to replace two windows and while I'm at it I thought I'd give the windows a new look from the outside.

Or do you think that just having new, bigger white windows instead of grey, small aluminum windows would be enough of a change?

Are you asking about removing the brick sill or what to do with the existing window sill?
