Replacing glass on a bay window
Earlier this year I had a crack develop on one of my bay windows, so I need to replace the glass.
When it comes to taking the glass out, I've gotten about halfway there.
I was able to remove the frame (sash?) with no issue, but I can't figure out how to pop this thing open to remove the glass.
I figure there's someone out there who will take one look at this thing and know exactly what's going on, so I've posted some pictures below :)
How do I crack this eggshell? Or is it designed to be sealed? Thanks!
Clean the joint at the stops (thinner strips of wood next to the glass on interior side), then insert a small prybar there starting at the middle working it away from the frame. Try Google if I'm not clear enough.....lol.
Don't use a sander, paint is probably lead based. To get you started: http://books.google.com/books?id=6hu...0prazi&f=false
Edit: oop, nevermind, figured it out :)
