Replacing glass

I need to replace a broken piece of glass in garage door. Do I need to pull off wood trim? Or is there a easier way?

There is no magic way to do it, without a picture or more info were stuck having to guess.
Is it a wood or metal door?
If it's wood then the 1/4 rd. on the inside comes off. If there's peeling paint or no paint then seal the wood with an oil based primer, once dry take some glazing compound and put a small ball in the palm of your hand and roll it back and forth to form a string. Apply that to the inside of the frame where the windows going to sit. Smooth it out with a flexable putty knife, install the glass, to hold it in place use window points, then reinstall the 1/4 round. Nerver hit the glass with the brads that hold in the 1/4 rd. if it hits the glass once the glass is going to shatter.
If it was mine I would use Lexan not real glass.
If it's metal then there's screws that need to come out to remove the frame.

It's a wood door panel with 8 windows, I like the lexan idea.
If I bears the rest if the glass out will the 1/4" trim pull off ?
Can I send a picture with this app ?

Your reply makes no since.
What app?
Most use 1/4 round moulding not 1/4 trim. 1/4 round, is one quarter of a circle.

You can post them as thumbnails if you hit the "Go Advanced" button. It's on the bottom of the box you type text into.

Or you have to post them to another site (photobucket, flickr, or something). Copy the URL.

Then start a new reply in this thread. Right above the box where you type, there are two rows of of icons and such. In the bottom row, fourth from the right, is an "Insert Image" icon. Click that, and a box will open up. Paste the URL of the photo you uploaded.

Of course if you're doing this from a phone, I'm clueless.
