Replacing entry door in 1950s home

Hi,
My special order 34" exterior entry door finally came in so I may attempt the install on Monday. I've been watching install videos online. Based on my house age and having the original door I know it won't have house wrap. Some of the online videos show people adding it. I have old aluminum siding and plaster on the inside so I don't think I can add that around the door frame without possibly doing a lot of damage. What about the door sill. I see som people use self adhering waterproof membrane and some just silicone caulk. What do people recommend. I do see all installs use the drip cap at the top.

A one piece sill pan flashing is preferred in this case.

When it comes to preventing leaks, you never ever want to rely on a caulk joint alone.
