Replacement window

Hello,

I know replacement windows aren't meant to be installed in an existing window frame but can you use them as new const. windows in a bare rough opening? Reason I ask is because my house is brick sided so using a window with a nailing flange wouldn't really work.

Then use a brick mold window. It will have a built in brick moulding.
Or a flat jamb window and add your own trim, it will come with a built in sill.

Replacement window are just the shape of a box and you not have a built in sill.

if I did a brick mould new const. window would the bottom of the brick mould reach the top of the lower section of brick?

The sill sits on top of the soldered bricks, not the brick moulding.
The brick moulding ends on top of the sill just like the way any regular window does.

If you order a new const. window with brick mould will it still have those nailing flanges? If so, they can be cut off, correct?
