removing sliding vinyl window
 

I have a vinyl sliding window that I cannot remove from the frame. I have tried putting a screwdriver under it but do not pry to hard, afraid I will crack the vinyl, so I do not get the window out to wash. Is there a adjustment or is the window just not right. I have in the past removed it shortly after they were installed. Thank you

There are "bumpers" in the head jamb that prevent the sashes from being lifted out. Make sure that you've slid the sash past those. (they are removable if need be). If you're past that and still having issues, then you just need some old-fashioned elbow grease because the head jamb is probably sagging... You could try to "suck" it back up with a screw as well.
